Pope Farm House

Owner: Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission – Montgomery County

Consultants:
Adtek Engineers, Inc. – structural engineering
M/R Innoveers, LLC – mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineering

Description: Symmetry First designed a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation of the Pope Farm House to convert it from a tenant farmhouse to a suite of offices and conference space for staff at the Pope Farm Nursery. Work included insulating the previously un-insulated exterior walls, restoration of the striking exterior stucco finish, refinishing of interior wood floors and staircase, and insertion of all new electric, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, with minimum modification of the interior plan arrangement and spatial qualities. While the Pope Farm House is not technically an historic property, great care was taken in design and in construction to return it to its original form and finishes.
